SEEK & YOU SHALL FIND
Are you searching scriptures searching for truths amidst the confusion between the different denominations? I did a study for that reason. That's what the Lord wants us to do. He wants us to seek and search and find. We have the Holy Spirit to help us with that. This is what I found. It seems to go hand-in-hand with the verse in II Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Proverbs 2
My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.
Proverbs 25:27 (I have to admit, this one puzzles me because I am a deep thinker.)
It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honorable to search out matters that are too deep.
1 Corinthians 2:10
these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
2 Chronicles 15:12
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul.
Psalm 9:10
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 53:2
God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
Psalm 119:2
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart

The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.

The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.
Isaiah 58:2
For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them.
Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
