My maiden name is Overturf. My dad was from Buckner. I don't know if this ancestor was directly kin to us but the article is interesting. The internet is unwilling to recognize her as the first police chief of Buckner or Franklin County and this is the only record available except for possibly her descendants who are now spread around the country. So I'm getting this information out there so they will give this female the credit due her.
